Milagro EAGALA is a certified program of the Equine-Assisted Growth and Learning Association. Milagro EAGALA is experiential and fun! The approach of using the horses is unique and engaging. The entire group training is hands-on. No riding or previous experience with horses is required.
The objectives of Milagro are to improve coping strategies, develop flexibility, increase problem solving skills, improve morale and thereby increase productivity, increase self-satisfaction, improve motivation and creativity and decrease stress.
When decisions have to be made, when changes occur, individuals experience discomfort. This discomfort or cognitive dissonance happens often during a typical day or workweek. The ability of the individual to manage that discomfort is directly related to how much stress the person experiences. Stress, unmanaged, can lead to absenteeism, substance abuse, domestic problems and a host of other symptoms of personal duress.
Milagro EAGALA training experiences allow participants to gain clarity and insight into themselves and their surroundings. They leave the EAGALA experience relieved of once cumbersome emotional burdens and rigid behaviors. They are strenthened in their abilities to be effective in the workplace and as team or group members.
We work with a restricted number of participants to insure a quality experience to all.
During training groups Dr. Wilson works with an equine specialist who contributes to the process of EAGALA by insuring safety, predicting horse behavior, monitoring horse behavior and giving appropriate feedback to the participants. Milagro's equine specialist, Liddie Dyer, brings a wealth of experience from her 38 years of providing training for people and horses. She has won many equestrian awards and is an accomplished horsewoman. More importantly, she knows horses and horse behavior.
